Queen's or Kings Award
The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise are the highest official UK awards for British organisations who excel in international trade, innovation or sustainable development. This award was called the Queens Award under HRH The Queen, and now is now therefore The Kings Award under HRH The King.
We have received four, in 2001, 2007, 2017 and 2022. They recognise our commitment to improving standards in our supply chain, the positive impact of our community and environmental projects, and leadership in supporting the long-term sustainability of our global tea and coffee supply chains.
We are also proud winners of the 2023 Kings Award for International trade, which is an award that recognises the work of the international team here, at Taylors, delivering an impressive growth trajectory in overseas markets over the last six
Rainforest Alliance
Most of our products carry the Rainforest Alliance seal™. This means they are grown and harvested on farms and forests that follow sustainable practices. To become certified, farms must meet criteria of the Rainforest Alliance Sustainable Agriculture Standard. The Standard encompasses all three pillars of sustainability — social, economic, and environmental. Rainforest Alliance Certified™ farms are audited regularly to verify that farmers are complying with the Standard’s comprehensive requirements, which require continual improvement on the journey to a more sustainable future.
Fairtrade
Several of our products carry the FAIRTRADE Mark. It’s an independent label for products that have been sourced from producers in developing countries that operate a fair deal for their workers and employees. Products with the FAIRTRADE Mark must meet international Fairtrade standards set by the international certification body, Fairtrade International. These standards are designed to support the sustainable development of small producer organizations and agricultural workers in developing countries.
Ethical Tea Partnership
We are a founding member of the Ethical Tea Partnership (ETP), a membership organisation working with tea companies, development organisations and governments to improve the lives of tea workers, farmers and their environment. Our aim is to drive long-term, systemic change across three thematic areas in tea – economics, equality and environment. ETP's work improves the progress that is being made towards attaining the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals in tea-growing regions.
Non-GMO
The Non-GMO Project Verified mark assures consumers that the product bearing the label has been evaluated for compliance with the Non-GMO Standard, which can be found here.
