The combination of green tea and jasmine dates back over 1000 years.
Jasmine flowers are scattered onto green tea leaves and given time to infuse them with their fragrance, creating a light and refreshing drink with an elegant aroma. The flavour is hard to describe yet impossible to mistake – a gentle, floral accent which hints at the sweetness of blossom.
Such a special flavour deserves the perfect canvas, which is why a delicate green tea is the natural choice, since it allows jasmine to be the star of the show. It’s a delicate and subtle tea from the Hunan Province in south central China. The jasmine flowers (which come from Guangxi Province in southern China) are scattered onto the tea leaves there – and the process is repeated at least five times. That repetition leads to a better, richer jasmine flavour, and it’s one of the hallmarks of a higher quality jasmine green tea.
