An exquisite blend of orthodox Chinese tea and freshly picked rose petals. We select large black Congou tea leaves for their smooth, mellow flavour, and sprinkle over fragrant pink rose petals for a beautiful tea with subtle floral sweetness. It's heavenly on its own or sweetened with honey.

We think all tea looks beautiful – but some teas have that extra special something. China Rose Petal is one of those teas.
Its jet black leaves intermingle with bright, pink rose petals, standing out like delicate little jewels.
But they’re not just there for show. The flavour of rose is a glorious match for tea, and its ethereally sweet perfume elevates the flavour to elegant heights. It's potent yet subtle at the same time.
That complex flavour requires a certain kind of tea. Specifically, a gentle and rounded black tea that supports without dominating. Ours comes from the Hunan Province in central China, and that’s also where the rose petals are added.
Loose leaf tea adds an extra sense of occasion. Using “orthodox” tea leaves – a larger leaf than those typically used in tea bags – means a slightly lighter flavour which some consider more refined. They’re ideally brewed in a teapot, which gives them lots of room to move around and benefit from lots of surface contact with the water, and adds a certain something to the ritual of tea-making.
We’d recommend drinking this tea without milk, and perhaps enjoying it with some shortbread. Its delicacy matches very well with sweetness. It’s also a lovely tea to serve in glass, where the sight of those rose petals can be appreciated to its fullest.
